Back on their home court and looking to even the season series, the Cards (0-17, 0-11 Big Rivers Conference) found themselves in a hole early, but pulled back to within one of the Warriors (11-6, 6-5 BRC), who responded with an extended run to take a 19-point lead at the break.
After halftime, Chi-Hi ratcheted up the defensive pressure while playing much cleaner offensively, only committing four turnovers while outscoring Rice Lake 30-28 in the second half. The Warriors halftime advantage was too much to overcome, however, as they won the game and the season series.
WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Freshman guard Kobe Twyman nailed four triples as he poured in a team-high 16 points, while sophomore guard Kael Dillenbeck notched six in each half to finish with 12. Fellow sophomore Owen Munson hit a trio of threes and added nine points on the night.
