1/28/25 Basketball: McDonell Lady Macks 75, Bloomer 70

In a rematch with a young but extremely talented Bloomer squad, the Lady Macks (8-8, 6-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) engaged in a seesaw battle with the Blackhawks (10-7, 4-5 WCC) who made a late run to tie the game at 31 by halftime.

In the second half, McDonell repeatedly took two-possession leads but could never quite shake off Bloomer, whose hot-shooting from downtown kept things close as both teams battled foul trouble. In the final minutes, however, the Lady Macks made crucial plays in the clutch, earning their sixth conference victory and a season sweep of the Blackhawks.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Sophomore guard/forward Anne Siegenthaler poured in a career-high 30 points, while fellow sophomore forward Emily Hartman was fantastic as well, tallying a career-high of her own with 15 on the night. Sophomore guard Erin Siegenthaler and senior forward Kendall Hepfler also finished in double figures for McDonell, each adding 11 points.

1/24/25 Basketball: Eau Claire Regis 77, McDonell Macks 70

In a home rematch against a perennial rival, the Macks (10-6, 3-3 Western Cloverbelt Conference) nearly scored as many points in the first half as they did their entire previous game against the Ramblers (8-5, 3-3 WCC).

Regis was able to match McDonell point for point, however, and despite four Macks players in double figures, the Ramblers pulled away at the end of both the first and second half, earning a series sweep for the regular season.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior guard Cael Holm knocked down four threes and led the team with 18 points, while senior guard Cooper Mittermeyer also hit four triples and tallied 15. Sophomore forward Nathan Hazel added 12 points, and junior forward Karson Galvez, despite battling foul trouble, was the fourth McDonell player in double figures, finishing with 10 points.
