12/23/25 Basketball: Marshfield 57, Chippewa Falls Lady Cards 55

    In the first half Chi High(2-7) played their best basketball of the seson in building a 32-17 lead and were up 40-29 at the half. In the second half, however, the Cards could never get their offense on track and ultimately fell at home to Marshfield(2-7), 57-55.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Tenley Anderson led the Cards in scoring with 17, with 13 coming in the first half, including 3 3-pointers. Malia Kalien scored 15, including 4 3's.

12/21/25 CVTW: New Day Resource Center; Homeless Vigil

                                                                       Chippewa Valley This Week

 

Eau Claire's new Day Resource Center for the unhoused opens Dec. 29th at 1 Better Way, behind the L.E. Phillips Public Library. Ahead of big opening we hear from Hope Gospel Mission's Community Relations Director, Brett Geboy, and Western Dairyland CEO, Anna Cardarella. Meanwhile, Julian Emerson talks abut the Homeless Vigil slated for Dec.22nd at 5pm at Wilson Park in Eau Claire, remembering the unhoused who've passed this year. State Sen. Rob Hutton(R-Brookfield) says affordability is a top concern of Wisconsinites and a top priority of Republicans. Finally, Gov. Evers wishes everyone Happy Holidays and reminds those in need that services are available.

12/19/25 Basketball: McDonell Lady Macks 55, Eau Claire Regis 40

On the road in a battle of two teams unbeaten in conference play, the Lady Macks (7-2, 5-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) played with a quiet confidence against the Ramblers (8-2, 4-1 WCC), who gained an early lead but then struggled to score against the McDonell defense.

Leading by five at the half, the Lady Macks continued to tighten the screws defensively, forcing turnovers and scoring in transition. Though Regis started to heat up from beyond the arc, McDonell created enough separation to withstand the barrage, pulling away and vaulting themselves into sole possession of first place in the conference standings. 

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:

Junior forward Anne Siegenthaler finished with 18 points, fellow junior Claire Ruf was close behind with 16, and junior guard Erin Siegenthaler played suffocating defense and also hit four big threes to add 12 points.
