8/22/24 Football: Chi-Hi 36, Stevens Point 21

Home at Dorais Field to begin their 2024 campaign, the Chippewa Falls Cardinals (1-0, 0-0 Big Rivers Conference - East) fumbled twice in the first quarter, and the Panthers (0-1, 0-0 Wisconsin Valley Conference) took full advantage, staking themselves to a 14-0 lead.

A late second quarter score by the Cards, however, started to swing the momentum, and in the second half it was almost all Chi-Hi, as they ripped off a total of 36 unanswered points before a late SPASH touchdown made the final a two-score game.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior RB Jackson Bohland shook off an early miscue - and an injury that saw him helped off the field - to score a hat trick of touchdowns on the night, while fellow senior RB Jackson LeMay found the end zone three times as well; twice for touchdowns and once on a two-point conversion. Senior S Simon Fish led a stellar effort by the Cardinals defense, forcing a key fumble and making impact plays all over the field.
