9/6/24 Football: New Richmond 32, Chi-Hi 7

Back at home, this time for Veterans Night, the Chippewa Falls Cardinals (2-1, 0-1 Big Rivers Conference - East) allowed an early scoring drive from the Tigers (3-0, 1-0 BRC), but after forcing a turnover on downs, took the ball down the field to knot the score at seven.

Unfortunately those were the only points of the night for the Cards, as they committed six turnovers and struggled to slow down a diverse and balanced New Richmond attack.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior RBs Jackson Bohland and Jackson LeMay made several impact plays on offense and special teams, while Senior S Simon Fish flew all over the field to make plays, including a big goal line interception to turn back a New Richmond drive.

9/5/24 Football: McDonell 65, Lake Holcombe 0

In a North Central-East Conference opener for both teams McDonell Central(2-0, 1-0) held Lake Holcombe(0-2, 0-1) without a first down the entire game on their way to a 65-0 win. The Macks led 45-0 at the half and scored three more TDs in the 2nd half with sophomore QB Nathan Boggess at the helm.

Speedy junior RB Eli Stepp scored the most exciting TD of the night with his 72-yard 4th down run. Fellow junior RB Dawson Moulton also scored on a 39-yard run. The Macks defense scored as well when freshman Gavin Smiskey sacked LH QB Emmit Johnson in the end zone for a safety.

                                                                                        WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:

In what was truly a "team" win the Macks had as many as 14 ball carriers as they looked to sharpen their running game heading into Friday's game at Owen-Withee.
