Hoping to bounce back after their first loss in over 2 months, the Lady Macks (15-3, 10-1 Western Cloverbelt Conference) could not pull away from the talented and revitalized Hornets (7-8, 3-5 WCC), who overtook McDonell late in the first half and held a two point lead going into the break.
Though the second frame was a seesaw affair, Cadott eventually built a two-possession lead and was in the double bonus, seemingly in prime position to pull off the upset. The Lady Macks didn't blink, however, and a little McDonell Magic in the waning moments secured the victory in a thriller.

Junior guard/forward Claire Ruf tallied 10 in each half and ended with a game-high 20 points, while junior forward Anne Siegenthaler hit several clutch shots and ended with 12.
