In a rematch with a young but extremely talented Bloomer squad, the Lady Macks (8-8, 6-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) engaged in a seesaw battle with the Blackhawks (10-7, 4-5 WCC) who made a late run to tie the game at 31 by halftime.
In the second half, McDonell repeatedly took two-possession leads but could never quite shake off Bloomer, whose hot-shooting from downtown kept things close as both teams battled foul trouble. In the final minutes, however, the Lady Macks made crucial plays in the clutch, earning their sixth conference victory and a season sweep of the Blackhawks.
