Public Health Planner, Alex Craker, of the Eau Claire City-County Health Department discusses the results of the just completed health assessments in Chippewa, Dunn and Eau Claire counties, which identified the top health issues in each of the counties. We discuss EC's top five with Craker which includes alcohol misuse, poor mental health, lack of access to childcare or affordable childcare, substance misuse and lack of safe or affordable housing. Plus, DJ Griffin discusses his new non-profit, MBM Corp looking to partner with others to build a brighter future for the area's less fortunate through hope, love and respect. He also touches on Griffin Inspires Globally, the inspirational speaking business he's embarking on.

In this preview of the upcoming August 13th primary we hear from two of the candidates in the 3rd Congressional District Democratic primary Rebecca Cooke and State Rep. Katrina Shankland. We also hear from both candidates in the Democratic primary in the 7th Congressional  District  Elsa Duranceau and Kyle Kilbourn. We give you an overview of Assembly primaries coming up in Districts 67, 68, 69, 92 and 93. Plus, we look at the two referendum questions Republican lawmakers have placed on the ballot, both trying to regulate how the Governor distributes federal money.
