2/12/24 Boys Basketball: Eau Claire Memorial-71 Chippewa Falls-57
This first meeting of the season between these two teams included six lead changes and two ties through much of the first half. Then the Old Abes(16-6, 10-2) outscored the Cards(1-19, 0-12) 8-2 to close out the half and take a 35-29 lead into the break.
Four points was the closet CF got the rest of the way, and after they cut it to a 59-53 deficit, the Abes outscored the Cards 12-4 down the stretch for a 71-57 win.
WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch: Seniors Easton Bobb and Carson Wedemeyer led the way for the Cards with 21 and 18 points respectively.

On the Chippewa Falls Middle School Safety & Security issue from last October we share part of the 8-page open letter issued Friday from Chippewa Falls School Superintendent, Jeff Holmes. In our ongoing coverage on the Chippewa Valley dealing with the coming close of two HSHS hospitals and Prevea clinics we hear from State Senator, Jesse James(R-Altoona); Eau Claire City Attorney, Steve Nick; and Marshfield Medical Center, Eau Claire's Chief Nursing Officer, Gina Leath, and their Birth Center & Respiratory Therapy Manager, Kendal Stockel.
