12/30/25 Basketball: McDonell Lady Macks 57, Hillsboro 25

Riding a win streak of eight, the Lady Macks (9-2, 5-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) began the pressure defense early and often against the Tigers (6-5, 3-1 Scenic Bluffs Conference), who found points very hard to come by.

After the half, McDonell continued to surge ahead, as nine players scored and they notched their ninth consecutive victory.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Junior guard/forward Claire Ruf led all scorers with 15 points, including three threes, while fellow junior Anne Siegenthaler was right behind with 14. Junior Rylie Christianson was the third Lady Macks player in double figures, as she added 11 points on the night.

12/30/25 Basketball: Loyal 60, McDonell Macks 56

Looking to keep their unbeaten streak alive, the Macks (5-2, 1-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) were locked in an early defensive struggle with the Greyhounds (6-1, 2-1 Eastern Cloverbelt Conference), but pulled away to a three possession lead partway through the first half.

The visitors responded however, surging back to tie the game at 29 at the break. In the second half, the Loyal pressure resulted in a few too many turnovers, and though the Macks made a comeback in the final minute, they fell a bit short.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior guard Cael Holm led the team in scoring for the second straight night, hitting a trio of threes and finishing with 14 points. Junior forward Brennan Loiselle-Christianson had another steal and breakaway dunk and ended the night with 13, while senior Desian Matthews knocked down three triples of his own and had 10, equaling the point tally of fellow senior Karson Galvez.
