12/29/25 Basketball: McDonell Lady Macks 52, Loyal 36

Back in action after a 10 day hiatus, the Lady Macks (8-2, 5-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) gained an early advantage over the young and scrappy Greyhounds (4-5, 4-1 Eastern Cloverbelt Conference), who struggled to score but still continued to battle.

Battling through foul trouble, McDonell made use of multiple lineup combinations and maintained their halftime lead for much of the second half, eventually leading to an eighth straight win..

Junior guard/forward Claire Ruf led the scoring with 11 points, while fellow junior Anne Sigenthaler had 10, and junior Erin Siegenthaler hit a trio of threes to finish with nine points on the night.

12/29/25 Basketball: McDonell Macks 77, Mellen 59

Riding a four game winning streak, the Macks (5-1, 1-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) looked strong to start the game, but hot outside shooting from the Granite Diggers (4-2, 3-1 Northern Lights Conference), kept the visitors within reach.

After the break, McDonell slowly pulled away, riding timely shooting from downtown and a dominant performance on the offensive glass to win a fifth straight game.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:

Senior guard Cael Holm made the most of his open looks, knocking down seven threes on the night and finishing with 21 points. Junior forward Brennan Loiselle-Christianson had a pair of thunderous dunks and tallied 10, with junior Nathan Hazel and senior Desian Matthews also ending the game in double digits.

12/29/25 Basketball: Wausau West 56, Chippewa Falls 53

     After falling behind 12-6, Chippewa Falls(1-7) went on an 8-1 run to pull ahead 14-13, and led Wausau West(5-4) at the half, 24-20. In the opening minutes of the 2nd half the Warriors outscored the CF, 22--7, in grabbing a 42-31 lead. However, the Cards fought back and got as close as 54-53 before ultimately bowing, 56-53.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Down 11 in the 2nd half the Cards rallied back on the strength of hot shooting from Drew Thornton(9 points) and Owen Munson(17 points).
