Since 2012 the Chippewa Valley non-profit, Fierce Freedom, has been involved in educating people about the problem of human trafficking and advocating for victims. On this edition FF's Executive Director, Cat Morgan, and Community Engagement Specialist, Joyce Orth, discuss what they do and how things have changed in the time they've been involved. Plus, they invite everyone to join them at their biggest annual fundraising and awareness-raising event, the Eau Freedom Fun Run & Fest, July 24th at Carson Park. Pre-register at fiercefreedom.org.

We bring you highlights from the June 18th community meeting in Eau Claire as Western Dairyland and Hope Gospel Mission provide an update on the preliminary plans to build a Day Resource Center which would bring together a variety of services to assist unhoused and housing insecure members of the community. Those you'll hear from include Western Dairyland CEO, Anna Cardarella; Hope Gospel Mission's Community Relations Director, Brett Geboy; Deputy City Manager for the City of Eau Claire, Dave Solberg; and the Owner of Offbeats Violin, Rose Johnson.
