CHIPPEWA VALLEY THIS WEEK
Fierce Freedom Co-founder and Executive Director, Jenny Almquist, gives the back story on the non-profit she helped start to combat the scourge of human trafficking. Then, Fierce Freedom's Public Relations and Program Coordinator, Cat Jacoby, updates us on the 18 trafficking victims FF has been coming alongside, as well as looks ahead to the Freedom Boutique and Donation Drive November 10th(10am-2pm) and 11th(12pm-2pm) at their office at 2519 N. Hillcrest Parkway, Suite 100, Altoona, WI, 54720. At the boutique they'll be selling gently used, upscale men's and women's clothing, shoes and accessories. Meanwhile, the accompanying donation drive is soliciting the following items for the trafficking victims they're helping: shampoo & conditioner, face & body wash, gently used hair dryers, toothbrush & toothpaste, towels, fleece blankets, etc. For more information you can call Fierce Freedom at 715-514-2890 or e-mail them at office@fiercefreedom.org.
