11/3/24 CVTW: SAFE Election; GOP Voters for Harris; Hot Races

                                                                              Chippewa Valley This Week

Former AG, J.B. Van Hollen, speaks on behalf of the Democracy Defense Project, a bi-partisan effort telling voters why they can trust our elections and plans to call out bad actors casting doubt on the veracity of our elections. After briefly hearing from each of the major party presidential contenders we hear from two members of "Republicans for Harris" who spoke at a Friday Eau Claire news conference, Olivia Troye, former advisor to Mike Pence, and Steve Bircher, a longtime Eau Claire chiropracter and lifelong Republican who's voting for Harris-Walz. Finally we hear from the candidates in the 3rd Congressional District race, Rep. Derrick Van Orden(R) and Rebecca Cooke(D) and the 91st Assembly District, Rep. Jodi Emerson(D) and Michelle Magadance-Skinner(R).

11/1/24 WIAA 8-Player Football Tournament, Level 2: #1 Owen-Withee 46, #2 McDonell Central 19

  Two Owen-Withee(10-0) kickoff returns for touchdowns, one to start the game and the other right before the half, helped propel the Blackhawks to a 46-19 home win over the Macks(8-2). 

                                                                                        WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch: In defeat, Senior QB,Grant Smiskey was 15-25 for 165 yards and two TD's, while also running for 20 yards on eight carries. Fellow Senior WR, David Andersen, caught four passes for 48 yards and two TD's, and was named our Rust Proofers "Defensive Player of the game."
