12/10/23 CVTW: Meals on Wheels Need Drivers; Generations Academy

                                                                         Chippewa Valley This Week

Eau Claire County's Aging & Disability Resource Center Manager, Betsy Henck, fills us in on the county's amazing "Meals on Wheels" program which provides some 450 meals to residents in Eau Claire county five days a week. She says they're always looking for more drivers, even if you can only drive monthly. We also talk with three students from Generations Academy at their recent "Student Marketplace," and hear from parent, Bill Anderson, about the incredible impact the school has had in his son's life.

12/9/23 Basketball: McDonell Macks 65, Colfax 34

Back at UW-Stout for the Northwest Tip-Off Classic, the Macks (2-1, 1-0 Western Cloverbelt Conference) jumped all over the Vikings (1-5, 0-1 Dunn-St. Croix) from the opening tip, building a sizable lead before Colfax even saw a shot go through the net.

In the second half, McDonell's relentless defense helped them continue to grow their advantage, eventually putting a running clock into effect as they cruised to a second straight victory over the space of three days.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:

Sophomore guard Cael Holm played strong in each half, hitting four threes and ending the contest with a game high 20 points. Junior guard Cooper Mittermeyer matched those four threes with four of his own and was close behind with 17 points, while junior forward Jordan Sikora tallied 11.

12/7/23 Boys Basketball: Eau Claire North-73 Chippewa Falls-61

     Eau Claire North(4-3, 2-0) hit on almost 50-percent(11-24) of their 3-pointers in downing Chippewa Falls(1-3, 0-2), 73-61 at the Dog House. After falling behind by 22 at 62-40, the Cards went on a 12-0 run, but weren't able to get any closer.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch: 6-0 Sr, Easton Bobb led the Cards with 26 points while 6-2 Sr., Braden Dickerson, contributed 22 points on an impressive 10 of 13 shooting.
