3/7/26 Basketball: WIAA Division 4 Regional Final: #4 McDonell Macks 59, #9 Prairie Farm/Clayton 37

Hosting a Regional Final for the first time since their run to the state championship game in 2023, the Macks (14-13, 5-9 Western Cloverbelt Conference) again got out to a fast start, quickly putting the Bearcats (12-14, 8-5 Lakeland - West Conference), behind by double digits and leading by 14 at the half.

Though PFC made a push momentarily in the second half, McDonell always had a response, and eventually cruised to a regional championship, cutting down the nets on their home floor.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
In his finale at Steve and Deb Roesler Gymnasium, senior Karson Galvez led the way for the Macks with a game-high 15 points, with fellow seniors Eli Stepp and Desian Matthews adding 11 and 10, respectively.

3/6/26 Basketball: WIAA Division 4 Regional Semi-Final: #4 McDonell Macks 59, #12 Ladysmith 44

Looking to make the most of their home court advantage, the Macks (13-13, 5-9 Western Cloverbelt Conference) started out hot against the Lumberjacks (6-20, 3-15 Heart O'North Conference), creating some early separation as they roared out to a lead.

Though Ladysmith made a push late in the first half, McDonell responded to start the second, steadily pulling away and earning a bid to Saturday's regional championship.

WOGO "RadioActive" Award Watch:
Senior guard Eli Stepp, in his second game back from injury, again led the team in scoring, finishing with 12 points. Senior Karson Galvez and junior Brennan Loiselle-Christianson were close behind with 10 apiece.

Anne Sadowska, VP, Chief Administrative Officer, Aspirus WI Northwest Division and Nathan Ceder, Project Executive, The Boldt Company, both talk about Aspirus Health reaching a major construction milestone this week as large, prefabricated sections of its new Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic were lifted into place by crane and set within the building footprint, with an opening on schedule for Sept. 1st.
